Karoll was born in Barrhead, Alberta. She grew up on a farm along with five sisters and one brother. She spent much of her time with the farm animals or creating various images.

During her junior and high school years, she attended evening art classes that her parents enrolled her in.

Karoll’s independent spirit inspired many unique adventures. One of which included riding horseback from her home town of Barrhead to Cranbrook, B.C.

Throughout the years, Karoll worked at various occupations that she was interested in. Carpentry, horse training, glass industry, and cabinet designs and sales. Each occupation inspired a plethora of ideas and perspectives.

She loves painting many different subject matters including portraits, flowers, and landscapes.

Karoll works primarily with acrylic paints but also enjoys oils, watercolors, and pencil.

Her work is represented by various prestigious art galleries as well.
